You may order online by browsing this website and selecting the item(s) you require by using the "buy now" button on the associated product page. Prior to checking out you are given the opportunity of being able to review your entire order and make any necessary amendments prior to checking out.
We will acknowledge receipt of your order by sending you an email, giving a detailed breakdown. This order acknowledgement does not constitute an acceptance of your order from us. In the event that you do not receive an acknowledgment within three working days, please contact our sales team on 0800 622 6020 (UK only) or +44 1329 233244 (outside UK). Lines are open Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm (closed Saturday, Sunday and UK public holidays).
Acceptance of an order placed by you online or otherwise and the completion of the contract between you and Sound Exposure will take place when your order is dispatched, unless you have cancelled the order in accordance with our order cancellation policy.
When ordering over the telephone our sales team will be pleased to advise you on the range of products we offer, clarify any technical issues and help you with queries about payment. When you place an order by telephone you will be given a unique order reference number as an acknowledgement of your order. Your order is not accepted at this stage. We accept your order for item(s) ordered over the telephone at the point of your order being dispatched, unless you have cancelled the order in accordance with our order cancellation policy.
Corporate bodies and companies may order by email at sales@soundexposure.com or by fax on 01329 233288 (UK only) or +44 1329 233288 (outside UK). We will acknowledge receipt of your order by sending you an email or fax and quoting a unique reference number. Your order is not accepted at this stage. Telephone calls to Sound Exposure may be recorded for security and customer service monitoring purposes.
We reserve the right to refuse part or all of your order as a result of one of the following:
The item(s) you ordered are out of stock or no longer available
Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment or receipt of cleared funds
A credit account customer who is on stop for non payment of invoice(s)
The identification of a pricing or product description error
Suspicion of an attempt to obtain goods by dishonest or fraudulent means
Failure to meet the eligibility to order criteria set out in these terms and conditions.
Pricing Policy
Pricing and availability are subject to change without prior notice and special offers may be withdrawn at any time. All prices are in Pounds Sterling and are displayed in VAT excluded and VAT included on a product by product basis. Where a product constitutes more that one item, such as with a pair of loudspeakers or a packet of connectors, the displayed price will be for one sales unit, with the definition of the sales unit clearly indicated on the product page. Volume pricing discount will be available for some products and such volume pricing will be clearly indicated against each product.
Whilst we make every effort to ensure all our prices displayed on this website and on printed media are accurate, errors may sometimes occur. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered we will contact you as soon as possible. You will have the option to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it. If we are unable to contact you, we may treat your order in respect of the incorrectly priced item as cancelled.
We may charge separately for special packaging, carriage and additional insurance cover for oversized items or unusual delivery requirements. Such charges are subject to VAT where applicable and customers will be notified in advance if such charges apply to their specific order.
United Kingdom Value Added Tax at 20% will be added to the total net goods value during the checkout process unless you are resident in a territory that is exempt from VAT. Customers based in other EU member states who are registered for VAT will not be charged for VAT if they qualify under the EU VAT rules. To qualify you must submit in writing to us your VAT registration number and full company details for verification. If for any reason we are unable to obtain independent verification of your EU VAT registration then VAT at 20% will be added to your order.
Payment
By submitting an order to us directly through our website, by email, by fax or by telephone, you represent and warrant that the payment details provided on your order are valid and correct, and that when your order is accepted and processed by us, payment will be made in full. By placing an order you confirm that you are the person referred to in the billing details and in the case of a company purchase, that you are a person who holds the authority to make such a purchase on behalf of the company making the purchase.
We accept payment by credit and debit cards, cheque and electronic bank transfer. No goods will be dispatched to non credit account customers until payment has been cleared in full. We do not debit your payment card until the day of dispatch, unless the item(s) you require is a non stock item.
If you choose to pay for an item using a payment card with a foreign currency denominated account, the account will still be taken in pounds sterling at the conversion rate applied by the relevant payment scheme at the time of processing your order.
You may supply your credit card information via telephone, fax or over the Internet. Do not submit credit or debit card information via email as this is not a secure method.
To protect your security and prevent credit card fraud, we reserve the right to validate information gathered from you during the checkout process and such checks may be conducted by our merchant bank or appointed credit reference agency. We reserve the right to request additional proof of ID where we are unable to establish a satisfactory verification through usual details. Failure to be provided with additional information may result in the automatic cancellation of your order.
Title
Title of goods does not pass to the purchaser until the goods are paid for with cleared funds, in full. The responsibility and risk in the goods shall pass to the buyer at the point of delivery and Sound Exposure shall have no responsibility in respect of the safety of the goods thereafter.
Delivery Policy
All orders received by 3pm (UK time) will be dispatched that day for delivery the following working day, on the basis that the stock is available at the time of ordering. All orders received after 3pm (UK time) will be dispatched the following day. Please note that our normal order processing hours are Monday to Friday, so when an order is received on our servers on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the goods will be dispatched on the following working day.
All delivery timescales given, whether in writing or verbally, are estimates. If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you and inform you of the expected delivery date. However, you will always be given the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. We will not charge your payment card until the day of dispatch, with the exception of orders for non stock items, which will be charged for on the day the order is received. In the event that you wish to cancel an order for a non stock item, then your payment card will be credited on receipt of your formal cancellation request.
Your goods will be shipped by us using the services of our nominated contract courier and will be delivered to the delivery address specified on the order. Delivery addresses must conform to our payment card security policy which is clearly stipulated during checkout.
A signature is required on delivery of your goods by persons 18 years of age or over. Approximately 90 percent of all national orders reach our customers the next working day, with the exception of some UK regions. Where our couriers are unable to make a delivery due to no one being available to sign for the goods, then the courier is instructed to leave a contact card offering instructions for the recipient to liase with our courier and arrange delivery the following day, or collection from a local depot.
On receipt of the goods you must inspect the outer carton for signs of transit damage. If you suspect that damage has occurred then you must mark the couriers delivery manifest as 'received in damaged condition' and notify us immediately. We require written notice of any damage within 3 working days, either by email, fax or letter. Sound Exposure shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods.

It may not always be possible to stop an order from being dispatched, as we endeavour to process orders immediately. If your order has already been dispatched please return the goods unopened following the instructions in our Returns Policy below.
Returns Policy
The Returns Policy applies to goods purchased online, over the telephone, by fax or by email.
No goods may be returned without first notifying us in advance, clearly stating your reason for wanting to return the item(s). Once we have established and authorised your wish to return an item(s), we will issue you with an RAN (Returns Authorisation Number) which must be clearly marked on the outer shipping carton.
All goods and services offered are sold in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. These regulations are to protect you, the customer, and to ensure that you are given clear information about the goods and services that we are offering. Once you have placed an order for goods or services, we will forward a confirmation email to the email address provided by you. You are entitled to a cooling off period of seven days in which you are entitled to cancel your order. Should you wish to cancel your order you must write to the sales office by email or post with your request.
Sound Exposure cannot accept cancellations for certain goods such as music CDs and software which are protected by copyright and that have been unsealed from their original packaging. Goods such as custom assembled cables and electronic modifications ordered specifically to meet a consumers requirements are exempt from these regulations.
The consumer will be responsible for the cost of returning any cancelled goods to Sound Exposure. All returned goods must be packaged in such a way that the item(s) arrive at our goods inwards department in the condition in which they were dispatched (as new). Consequently if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product, accessories or packaging in any way whatsoever. Any items and/or accessories which are in sealed packets or bags must be returned to us unopened.
It is your sole responsibility to take due care of the item(s) whilst they are in your possession and during the cancellation period, ensuring they are maintained in the condition in which they were supplied to you. If the item(s) are damaged or your use of the goods has gone beyond reasonable inspection and overview, we reserve the right to refuse a full refund. The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 is not an endorsement of a try before you buy service but simply a mechanism to give you the opportunity to change your mind regarding a purchase, returning it strictly unused.
Customers are advised to use the services of a reputable courier and to ensure that adequate transit insurance is purchased to cover the full retail cost of the item(s) in the event of loss or damage. Failure to uphold these conditions of return may invalidate your claim to a full refund or replacement.
All goods are packaged by us during dispatch, in an outer carton with use of cavity fill or similar cushioning material, in such a way as to protect the actual manufacturers item box or packaging. Any goods being returned to us must be repackaged by the customer in a similar outer carton to ensure that the integrity of the actual item box or packaging reaches us in an 'as new' condition.
Goods returned must reach us in a re-saleable condition and in their original packaging. This includes, but is not limited to, careless writing of addresses or sticking of labels and tape on the actual manufacturers product carton. Failure to do this may invalidate your claim to a full refund and may result in us charging you a repacking or restocking fee of up to 25% of the original purchase price.
Goods must be returned in a reasonable time frame and refunds will only be issued once the goods have been received and inspected and are deemed to be in the condition as laid out in the previous terms and conditions.
Product Warranty
We guarantee your satisfaction. All of our products come with a minimum twelve months parts and labour warranty which is offered by the manufacturer and supported by Sound Exposure. Should your product fail within 14 days of receipt then we will, without hesitation, replace the faulty item with a brand new one, where stock levels allow. Items being returned within this 14 day period must be returned in the original packaging along with all manuals, cables, remotes and accessories originally supplied with the item. We reserve the right to remove from the replacement item any such missing items, prior to dispatch.

Failure to uphold these conditions of return may invalidate your claim to a full refund or replacement. Alternatively, we can arrange collection from your premises by our couriers, but please note we cannot arrange specific collection times for third party pickups. Typically we are only able to nominate an actual day.
Product replacements will only be dispatched after receipt of the faulty item and verification of the problem by one of our service engineers.
Products that fail within warranty but after the 14 day period will not be replaced but be repaired free of charge, and must be returned at your expense. We will endeavour to repair the item as quickly as possible and may use the services of authorised service agents to carry out the work, in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines. All repaired items will be returned to you by our nominated courier free of charge.
Product guarantees are only valid if the equipment fails whilst it is being used for the purposes in which the manufacturer intended and provided that:
the item has not failed through neglect of recommended maintenance routines, inappropriate use and wear and tear beyond that which is considered reasonable;
that the product has not had an attempted repair carried out on it by an unauthorised person;
that the product has not been opened by removal of the equipment casing, chassis or cover or removal of any non consumable part;
that the product has not been subject to the application of incorrect voltage or power source other than that supplied with the unit or specified on the unit;
that the product has not been inappropriately connected to other equipment which may cause inadvertent or deliberate damage to electronic components or circuitry;
that the equipment has not been used or operated in inappropriate environmental conditions outside of those specified by the manufacturer in the handbook;
that the serial numbers on either the packaging or equipment are still clearly legible and have not been tampered with;
notification of failure must be made within the warranty period. If the notification of failure is not made within the warranty period even though the item may have actually gone faulty within the warranty period, your claim for a warranty repair will be invalid;
All repairs or replacements carried out on a specific item within the warranty period will not extend or renew the original warranty period for that item.
All electronic goods supplied by Sound Exposure have their manufacturers serial numbers logged against the original sales order and are retained indefinitely.
