The Product
The Tascam DV-D01U is a HDCP compliant single disc DVD player with a powered loading tray in a 1U rackmounting chassis. It reads DVD video, 2 channel DVD audio, video CD, CD-DA, MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG, ASF, MPEG2/MPEG1 and DivX. Properly finalized DVD+R/+RW media (video format discs only) can also be played back. Most of the industry standard outputs have been provided including HDMI audio and video, composite, S-video, and component video, ensuring simple connectivity with standard AV equipment and displays. Analogue stereo audio outputs are presented unbalanced on phono connectors. Digital audio outputs are optical and can pass Dolby Digital and DTS surround streams for downstream decoding. A screen saver function and defeatable on-screen icons are also provided. Users can choose from multiple playback modes, including slow motion and frame by frame playback, power-on play, aspect adjustment, selectable scan mode, tray-lock, FVPP, and progressive scan. When stopped, the DVD player output reverts to black screen. The DV-D01U provides extensive bi-directional control via a standard RS-232 serial port and it comes supplied with an infra-red remote control.
