The Product

The CC-222SL MKII is Tascam's most popular combination 3U rack mounting CD/Cassette recorder to date. It now supports a more robust slot loading CD transport with adjustable pitch control. The CC-222SL MKII includes a RIAA phono input which allows direct recording from a turntable, a useful feature which sets the CC-222SL MKII above all the other manufacturers. The architecture of this machine delivers total flexibility to the user or installer as it may be operated as two completely separate individual recorders. It features a digital input and output on both coaxial and optical connectors, for the CD and analogue inputs are presented unbalanced on phono connectors. The user can configure the inputs and outputs as two individual components or share the same I/O for both the CD and cassette. Mains power is supplied to the unit via a removable three pin IEC power cable.

The CD recorder includes popular features such as auto track increment, MP3 playback, power on play, fade in and out, manual track increment, and a variety of playback modes. Support for dual media has made the CC-222 series a mainstay in houses of worship, schools, theatres and other installations. Only Tascam appears to offer such a wide range of combination players and recorders, with the reliability consultants and designers demand.
