The Product

The Superlux E531/BCS is an inexpensive stereo M-S (mid-side) microphone for use in semi-professional video and recording applications, combining a cardioid electret capsule, with a figure of eight electret capsule. The spacial width can be switched between 90° and 120° adding to the versatility of this microphone. It is powered by battery and features an integral on/off switch with power indication LED. It has a permanently attached cable which is terminated in a 3.5mm Jack connector.

They have managed to combine respectable audio performance and build quality, with a low price tag, giving people with low budgets access to microphone technology that would otherwise be out of reach. Although Superlux is not a well known brand, it always delivers excellent value for money.
