The Product

The Shure SM63L is an elegant yet rugged omnidirectional dynamic microphone designed for professional applications where performance and appearance are critical, based on the SM63 but with a longer body. It exhibits a smooth, wide frequency response which has been tailored for optimum speech intelligibility, and includes a controlled low frequency rolloff for reduced pickup of stand and wind noise. A built-in humbucking coil makes the microphones virtually immune to strong hum fields, such as those produced by studio lighting. It has a champagne finish and is designed for handheld use on stage and in broadcast, recording, and television studios. It also uses a patented Shure shock mount system to minimize handling noise and the design incorporates a Vera-Flex grille that protects against damage from a drop of up to 2 metres, and is impervious to dents, rust, corrosion, and moisture. An integral pop filter effectively reduces breath noise and it comes supplied with a two-stage windscreen accessory designed for outdoor use.
