The Product

The Shure BETA 56A is a dynamic microphone with a uniform supercardioid pick up pattern, designed for tom and percussion applications, both live on stage or in the recording studio. The capsule employs a Neodymium magnet assembly which gives the BETA56A a high signal to noise ratio and enables it to withstand high sound pressure levels with ease. It also has an integral stand adaptor with a dynamic locking mechanism, and a protective mesh grille.

From humble beginnings in 1925 as a radio parts wholesaler in downtown Chicago USA, Shure has grown to become one of the worlds most popular microphone brands bar none. Over and over again Shure microphones have stood the test of time with many of the models having been in production for over thirty years, which is a testament to the original designs.
