The Product

The Samson D1500 is a 31 band digital realtime analyser which can accurately measure the overall frequency response of any sound system. It has a large LED display and secondary custom backlit LCD display for easy readability in any live sound environment. The RTA has an adjustable meter resolution which allows the user to zoom in and out, as well as an adjustable frequency range for tight and accurate measurements. The main display can be converted to a large VU level meter that will simultaneously display both peak and VU levels.

Also incorporated into the design is a comprehensive signal generator which is capable of producing white and pink noise, as well as a tunable sine wave, and can be used to flatten a system with a standard analog equaliser, or automatically with the
D2500 digital equalizer. Switchable modes gives the user the option of viewing real time frequency response or the virtual fader positions of the digital equaliser. Other features include a phase correlation meter, MIDI and D-Net system interfaces and a balanced XLR measurement microphone input with phantom power.
