The Product

The SKB SKB-XRACK4 is a roto molded flightcase designed for protecting and transporting 4U of standard rackmounting audio and video equipment, but where only a shallow depth is required. The rotational molding process employed in the construction of this rack delivers a product that is very strong but lightweight. Equipment can only be mounted in the front with a simple access panel being provided at the rear. The transport cover offers a tight seal to protect from the ingress of moisture and dirt. A carrying handle is located at the right hand side, being molded into the basic design and the interlocking X profile of the case ensures stability when stacking cases of the same series on top of each other.

The Manufacturer

The very first SKB case was manufactured in a small garage in California by company founders Steve Kottman and Dave Sanderson. Today, SKB produces cases for hundreds of companies involved in many diverse industries.
