The Product

The SKB SKB-R12 is a roto molded flightcase designed for protecting and transporting 12U of standard rackmounting audio and video equipment. The R12 is one of the SKB Ultimate Strength Series of cases with an incredibly tough rotational molded shell, front and rear removable lids, recessed heavy-duty twist latches and shock absorbing rubber feet. Equipment can be mounted in the front as well as the rear (with optional additional rails) and both transport covers offer a tight seal to protect from the ingress of moisture and dirt. Carrying handles are located at either side, being molded into the basic design and the interlocking X profile of the case ensures stability when stacking cases of the same series on top of each other.

The Manufacturer

The very first SKB case was manufactured in a small garage in California by company founders Steve Kottman and Dave Sanderson.
