The Product

The Phonic DYN2000 is a 1U rack mounting compressor limiter which can be operated as a dual mono or stereo unit. The design incorporates expander/gate, compressor and limiter sections with a full range of control over each. Audio inputs are balanced and presented on both XLR connectors and ¼"Jacks, with signal level switchable between -10dBV and +4dBu. Access to the sidechain insert is also provided on ¼" Jack connectors, separately for each channel.

Other features include switching between soft knee and hard knee operation, system bypass buttons on both channels, useful for comparing processed and unprocessed signals, and an eight segment LED display, showing gain reduction up to 30dB. This unit represents excellent value for money and is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, from studio recording to broadcast and general PA applications.
