The Product
The Phonic AM442D is a fixed format 12 input desktop audio mixer with an integral 100 preset digital effects processor. It is suitable for a wide range of mixing applications such as small scale production, hospital and community radio, outside broadcast sub mixing and general PA applications.
The 12 inputs are configured as 4 mono mic line channels and 4 stereo line channels. Each mono mic line channel offers a balanced input on XLR for the mic and ¼" 3 pole jack socket for the line, with a switchable high pass filter and gain control. Each channel also has an insert point on TRS, three band eq with a swept mid, switchable pre or post aux, an effects send, pan control, channel on switch with LED indicator, routing switches, PFL, 60mm channel fader and a PFL LED which doubles as a signal clip indicator.
All four stereo channels offer balanced inputs on a par of ¼" 3 pole jack sockets, switchable sensitivity, four band eq, switchable pre or post aux, an effects send, pan control, channel on switch with LED indicator, routing switches, PFL, 60mm channel fader and a PFL LED which doubles as a signal clip indicator.
The output section features a main stereo output and a pair of group outputs, to which each of the input channels can be routed. Other master section features include a master aux send with solo, master effects send with solo, aux and effects returns, a 2 track return, 12 segment LED meters, headphone output, control room monitor outputs, switchable (global) phantom power and a digital effects processor with useful sine wave and pink noise generator.
