The Product
The Lexicon MX400 is a four input and four output digital reverb and effects processor in a 1U rack mounting package which offers the flexibility of a hardware processor but one that can be controlled from within a virtual control application. All parameters of every reverb, delay and dynamic effect in this quad processor are available inside any VST or AU compatible DAW program. By linking a computer to the MX400 with a USB cable, all automation and recall parameters can be controlled exactly as you would with any software plugin. Also included is the MX-Edit Librarian software enabling you to store and recall custom programs or pull up a choice of 223 genuine Lexicon settings, including 25 dedicated surround programs. At the heart, the MX400 is everything you would expect from the company that invented digital reverberation, including seventeen Lexicon reverbs, delays and modulation effects plus dbx compression and de-essing. A generous LCD display and big comfy knobs you can get your hands around.
Other features include 17 legendary Lexicon reverbs, delays and modulation effects, dbx compression and de-essing, 7 effect routing options, 99 factory and 99 user programs for stereo mode, 99 factory and 99 user programs for dual stereo mode, 25 factory and 25 user surround programs, dual S/PDIF digital input and output, 24-bit, 44.1kHz/48kHz sample rates, a large front panel LCD display, MIDI in and MIDI thru, and audio inputs and outputs available balanced or unbalanced on ¼" jack connectors.
