The Product

The EON 305 is a 15", two-way, passive, portable speaker system. It is light weight and capable of full bandwidth reproduction at high levels. The EON305 is comprised of a 15" JBL woofer, a 1" neodymium high frequency compression driver coupled to a 100°H by 60°V waveguide. The system will handle 250 watts continuously and 1000 watts peak. The advanced network design accurately shapes the frequency response delivering coherent summation in the crossover region resulting in extremely consistent on-axis and off-axis performance. The use of premium components ensures the network will handle high power levels without affecting the audio quality and integrated SonicGuard protection circuitry shields the high frequency compression driver from excess power without interrupting the system’s performance. Dual Neutrik NL4/¼" combo connectors not only offer input connector flexibility but also permit adding additional systems in parallel.

In addition to acoustic performance the EON305 features three full size deep-well handles, light weight, and balanced ergonomics. The new generation of EON products offers true portability and ease of handling. Five standard M10 rigging points and integrated pole mount socket increase the system’s utility. The extremely rugged copolymer enclosure has been designed for main and 45° monitor orientation in the left and right hand configuration. A full screen-backed steel grille offers additional protection for both the woofer and compression driver component.

The Manufacturer

The JBL heritage goes back to 1934 when Douglas Shearer of MGM headed up a team which designed the first practical loudspeaker system for motion picture use. The principal components were built by James B Lansing from whose initials the company takes his name. Since those early days JBL has become a hugely successful international brand name, producing loudspeakers for an extremely wide range of applications.
