The Product

The Hawk-Woods DV-F980 is a rechargeable Lithium-Ion Mini DV battery which conforms to the Sony NP-F format and is 100% compatible with all products employing this fitting. It has a nominal voltage of 7.2V and a capacity of 52W delivering up to 7200mA. This battery will also fully support the INFO technology which Sony cameras employ to display battery usage to the operator. Although the DV-F980 has a greater capacity that the DV-F970, it shares exactly the same physical foot print as the smaller battery, making it ideal where size and weight are restricted.

The DV-F980 can be charged by any compatible Sony F-Series charger as well as on the camcorder itself. Hawk-Woods produce a range of quality chargers which can be found on the appropriate section of this website.
