The Focusrite VOICEMASTER PRO is a comprehensive mono channel strip, which has been optimised for vocal use but able to process any instrument with outstanding results. The class A preamp is capable of capturing every nuance from any source, and latency-free monitoring ensures direct and accurate control of the mix without the frustrations of system induced delays. Additional tools such as the voice optimised equaliser, and the vintage harmonics and tube sound allow the user to introduce a retro feel to the recording process. When combined with the 24-bit, 96kHz A/D option, the VoiceMaster Pro is the perfect interface between the traditional analogue microphone and the world of digital audio workstations and digital recording devices.

The VoiceMaster Pro boasts the same award-winning preamp as its predecessor, the industry standard VoiceMaster. This pre amplifier demonstrates the same wide bandwidth philosophy featured in the original vintage Focusrite units, ensuring low noise and distortion. Microphone and instrument inputs are both located on the front panel, allowing quick and easy connection without the need for a separate DI box. Sections which are labelled Vintage Harmonics and Tube Sound may be used to further enhance the sonic character of the sound by offering tape based vocal enhancement techniques and cutting edge valve emulation. The British sound of the Focusrite equaliser has become a by-word for excellence, and the VoiceMaster Pro equaliser is no exception, featuring controls specified to give immediate results with live or pre recorded vocals. When combined with the optical compressor and de-esser section, you truly have all you need to produce a vocal that sits perfectly in the mix.

The Manufacturer

The Focusrite brand was established in 1985 on principles of developing products that sounded musical in use, as well as meeting current measurable standards on the test bench. Although Focusrite do not produce a massive range of products, the items they do manufacturer are superb in sound quality, very tactile in use and exceptionally well engineered. In essence Focusrite products are built by musicians for musicians and loved by many.
