The Product

The Denon DN-F400 is a 1U half rack SD and SDHC digital audio player which supports MP3 and WAV file formats. It has been designed with simplicity in mind with no menus to navigate but just a straight forward load and play architecture. Audio outputs are balanced with a trim control and presented on the rear panel on Phoenix type connectors. Play modes include single, continuous, repeat and random which are easily setup by changing rear panel dip switches. It supports both 44.1kHz and 48kHz WAV file playback in both mono and stereo and a headphone output with associated level control has been provided for general monitoring. Other useful features include cue to music, power-on auto play, serial RS232 and parallel remote interfaces.

An optional RC-F400S hot start accessory remote controller is available giving instant playback of 20 audio files, ideal for theatre and production applications requiring quick access to spot sound effects.
