The Product

The Sennheiser G3 range of UHF wireless microphones have evolved from the success of the previous G2 series and is rapidly establishing itself as the system of choice amongst audio and broadcast professionals who look for reliability, flexibility and solid construction within a sensible price range. To compliment the standard system packages there is a huge choice of compatible accessories available enabling users to tailor multiple systems to their exact requirements.

The EW112 G3 is a lapel or lavalier system comprised of an SK100 G3 bodypack transmitter, ME2 omnidirectional lavalier microphone, EM100 G3 diversity receiver plus complementary accessories necessary to complete a working kit.

The system offers twelve frequency agile preset memories, battery status indication on the transmitter and receiver, pilot tone squelch for RF interference elimination during transmitter power off, automatic frequency scanning and true diversity reception.

The audio output on the receiver is available unbalanced on a ¼"Jack or balanced on an XLR, with the antenna connections presented on a pair of 50Ω BNCs. An optional GA3 rackmounting kit is available which facilitates mounting either one or two receivers in just one unit of rack space.

Other recently introduced features include wireless synchronization of transmitters via an infrared interface, auto-lock function avoiding accidental changing of settings, HDX compander for crystal-clear sound and an enhanced AF frequency range. The rugged metal housings combined with backlit graphic displays and a user friendly menu system combine to make this system very hard to beat in terms of both build quality and value for money.
