The Product

The Beyerdynamic MCE82 is a stereo electret microphone for X-Y recording, suitable for stereo recording in ENG/EFP applications, reporting, film, video, interviewing and homerecording. It has two condenser capsules with cardioid polar patterns, which are mounted at an angle of ±45° of the microphone axis, allowing a wide recording range and an accurate reproduction of the sound source. It also exhibits a flat linear frequency response for neutral miking with the highest sound quality. Due to its compact and rugged metal housing, the MCE82 is an ideal microphone for mobile applications. The elastic suspension of the condenser capsules suppresses handling and cable noise and a switchable bass filter eliminates wind noise and rumble. It can be operated with any phantom supply between 12VDC and 48VDC or if phantom supply is not available, then it can also be powered by a 1.5V battery, with an LED indicating battery condition.
