The Product

The Beyerdynamic MC837 is a rugged and lightweight long shotgun microphone designed to meet the demands of ENG and EFP applications, but owing to its acoustical characteristics it is also suited for film and sound effects recording. The microphone operates according to the pressure gradient/line transducer technique and the directional polar pattern helps to suppress lateral and background noise. A switchable low frequency roll-off filter has been provided to eliminate unwanted low frequencies at a cut-off frequency of 90Hz, and integrated footfall sound insulation avoids the transmission of noise below 40Hz.

Requires phantom power to function.
