The Product

The Audio Technica AT898 is designed to be worn as a lavalier or hidden in clothing and the discreet low-profile designed cardioid capsule offers maximum intelligibility, accurate voice reproduction and unobtrusive appearance. Suitable uses include houses of worship, broadcast studios, theatres, television and conference work. It also has a switchable low-frequency roll-off filter which reduces sensitivity to popping. It has an integral 3m cable which comes terminated in a TA3F mini XLR connector and an AT8537 phantom power adaptor is supplied along with the microphone.

Requires phantom power to function.
