The Product

The Adastra DSM-425 is a high quality digital sound level meter for measuring sound pressure levels in a variety of applications, which complies to IEC651 Type 2 and ANSI S1.4 standards. It is a handheld portable unit with a clear LCD display and integral microphone. Front panel switches enable the user to switch between A and C weighting, a slow, fast or peak hold response and a low/high option enabling the unit to cover a measurement range of 35dB to 130dB. It comes supplied with a windshield, battery and padded protective case.

The Manufacturer

Adastra was founded in 1949 and quickly developed a reputation for designing and manufacturing quality public address system components. The company was taken over by a large electronics manufacturing group in 1999 and the legacy of producing a good range of reliable and solid products, continues to this day.
