The Product

The AKG Perception Live P4 is a cardioid dynamic instrument microphone tailored to the needs of percussion, drums, wind instruments and backline. It has a rugged all-metal body with integral stand adaptor designed to withstand the rigours of typical stage use. The tough wire mesh grille protects the capsule and its humbucking coil rejects stray EMC noise. Its response has been deliberately tailored to be neutral ensuring accurate reproduction of acoustic instruments in both recording and live situations.

The Manufacturer

AKG was founded in 1947 by Dr Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless and within months their beautifully hand built microphones were being used in radio stations, theatres and jazz clubs. Within two years AKG produced their first pair of headphones, which were quickly followed by other innovative products such as the worlds first high quality condenser microphone. One of the first customers to acquire the famous C12 microphone was the BBC in London. Today millions of discerning professionals rely upon this solid and dependable brand.
