The Product

The AKG H85 is a universal shock mount suitable for use with microphones with shaft diameters from 19mm to 26mm. The central cradle is attached by elastic suspension cords to the outer frame ensuring good mechanical isolation from knocks and vibration. The stand attachment point can swivel to suit the user and it comes supplied with a ⅜" to ⅝" internal thread adaptor.

The Manufacturer

AKG was founded in 1947 by Dr Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless and within months their beautifully hand built microphones were being used in radio stations, theatres and jazz clubs. Within two years AKG produced their first pair of headphones, which were quickly followed by other innovative products such as the worlds first high quality condenser microphone. One of the first customers to acquire the famous C12 microphone was the BBC in London. Today millions of discerning professionals rely upon this solid and dependable brand.
