The AKG D542 ST-S is a rugged, affordable dynamic cardioid gooseneck microphone for general public address, communications and talkback use. The frequency response tailored to speech for optimum intelligibility as well as good off axis rejection for high gain before feedback and suppression of unwanted ambient noise. The all-metal body ensures a long useful life for the microphone even in tough daily use. It is a free desk stanging microphone with an integral on/off switch and a coiled cable terminated in a 3 pole male XLR connector.

The Manufacturer

AKG was founded in 1947 by Dr Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless and within months their beautifully hand built microphones were being used in radio stations, theatres and jazz clubs. Within two years AKG produced their first pair of headphones, which were quickly followed by other innovative products such as the worlds first high quality condenser microphone. One of the first customers to acquire the famous C12 microphone was the BBC in London. Today millions of discerning professionals rely upon this solid and dependable brand.
