The Product

The D440 has been designed primarily for tough onstage use on drums, backline amplifiers and wind instruments. The wiremesh outer grille combined with the special fabric under-layer form an effective windshield. The integral adjustable stand adaptor provides precise alignment with the instrument. The supplied H440 bracket facilitates clamping directly on a snare or tom or similar instrument.

The Manufacturer

AKG was founded in 1947 by Dr Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless and within months their beautifully hand built microphones were being used in radio stations, theatres and jazz clubs. Within two years AKG produced their first pair of headphones, which were quickly followed by other innovative products such as the worlds first high quality condenser microphone.
