The Product

The AKG C516ML is a cardioid instrument microphone with miniature mounting bracket, ideal for miking up accordions and guitar, piano, keyboard, or organ amplifiers. The included screws and double-sided, solvent-free adhesive pads make it easy to install the microphone on your instrument or amp exactly where you need it. It has a detachable 1.5m cable which is terminated in a miniature 3 pole XLR connector which is compatible with AKG WMS series wireless systems. It may be used as a wired microphone but to do so you need to use either the AKG MPA VL phantom power adaptor of the AKG B29L battery power supply.

The Manufacturer

AKG was founded in 1947 by Dr Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless and within months their beautifully hand built microphones were being used in radio stations, theatres and jazz clubs. Within two years AKG produced their first pair of headphones, which were quickly followed by other innovative products such as the worlds first high quality condenser microphone.
